PALFINGER Southern Africa has a 35% BEE ownership. This stake is held by Matodzi Engineering and JCI Technologies.
The policy of PALFINGER is to align Political, Social and Economic responsibilities with competitive Business practices, and our philosophies to achieve complimentary strategies and activities. According to the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) Act, promulgated by the parliament of the Republic of South Africa, PALFINGER Southern Africa is classified as a Broad-Based BEE company. Matodzi Engineering and JCI Technologies own one third equity each in PALFINGER Southern Africa, the other third being held by PALFINGER AG in Austria. PALFINGER Southern Africa is 35% BEE owned.

The BEE intent of PALFINGER Southern Africa aims to address the following areas:
  • Facilitating ownership and management of enterprises and productive assets by communities, workers, cooperatives and other collective enterprises; 
  • Human resource and skills development;
